I have seen a rat in my backyard on two occasions this week in broad daylight. My yard is clean and tidy and has no rubbish. There are yards in Bardsay road that have no gates on and have bags of rotting rubbish in them. These are attracting the rats. I aim to replace my gate as they are able to squeeze underneath but these houses are causing the problem.

At the rear of 16 Water Street there is a broken drainage pipe on the rear of the factory which is pouring water badly into the entry way and this has been reported time and time again and still nothing has been done about it.
Also i would like you to look into the barbed wire which the factory in question also has on there building which is very dangerous and environmental health needs to have this sorted out before someone gets hurt because its no longer on there roof but hanging over into the entry way and to add to the danger the factory also has bricks piled up on top of the roof which only needs a gust of wind and they will be off into the entry way. The hazards here are unbelievable and there premises are getting away with it.

A pelican crossing on Hanover Street (at the end of the pedestrianised portion of Paradise Street, shown in the foreground of this Google Street View image http://goo.gl/NaUaU ) has no audible signal indicating when it's safe to cross. As there are no tactile signals on this crossing (eg. rotating cones underneath the button box), I can only assume there is normally an audible signal, but it is broken, as one or the other should be provided for the benefit of visually impaired people.
Can you please confirm whether or not there is normally an audible signal on this crossing, and if so, when you expect it will be fixed?
Thanks in advance for your help. Please keep me informed of the progress of this report.

The surface is very uneven and dangerous. Due to the poor repair of the road it is very slippery when wet. There have been several occasions, both in the wet and the dry, when the back end of my motorbike has "slipped out" causing me to take drastic action to prevent a head on collision.

Cars constantly park on the pavement out side the shops. Often drivers are careless of pedestrians. Drivers do not just park one wheel on the pavement, but they drive the whole car onto the pavement. On one occasion, a motorbike, drove onto the pavement at a high speed.
It would be appropriate to but some type of barrier; stopping auto-mobiles driving onto the pavement. Ballards may be a good idea, as they stop the access of auto-mobiles, but do not stop the access of pedestrians.
Something needs to be done to prevent this from these incidents occurring again.
